There is a sharp temperature contrast with this next front with 40s to the north and 60s & 70s south. Because there is a dry wedge coming from the north, the rain shield will most likely weaken/dissipate before it gets to us with a low forming far south of our coast.
Look for Thursday to be cloudy, breezy & chilly with temperatures 10-15+ colder than today. The cloud cover is quite extensive as the upper trough dives over the Great Lakes.
The next upper dip is projected by the models to be even deeper so look for some really chilly air coming her in the 10-14 day time frame.
The top graphic is today's upper air flow with the bottom valid for Nov. 13th. Note how sharper it is and that should draw down the Canadian chill.
Our current front will bring back the semi-heavy weather gear with a warming come for most of next week. It's what comes for the following week that will have folks putting logs on the fire!
So enjoy our current mild temperatures. You'll feel the difference when you head out in the morning. Stay tuned!
