They Just Had To Find Wanda...

After yesterday's big win over the Brady Bucs, it's hard to be negative on this bright, sunny Monday.  Yes, we lost Jameis, for the season, but we might have found another QB while Taysom heals.  Get Michael Thomas back and I think we'll be alright.  NHC just can't help themselves.  They had to get through this year's hurricane name list as we have another wasted name for a system way out to sea.

NHC is calling her "sub-tropical Storm Wanda" as she looks more like a Winter time low.  One thing for sure, it's getting colder up north and that chill will head south when an east coast dip in the jet stream develops.

Alaska is well below freezing and northern Canada is below zero.  Note heavy coats are needed from Denver to St. Louis to D.C.   More cold will come south with each dip in the upper jet stream.

The top graphic is the 500 mb (18,000') flow for today which is mainly west to east.  The middle is valid for Thursday showing a dip that will drag our next front through, while the bottom graphic is valid for Nov. 12th which should be our coldest airmass so far this season.

It's pretty chilly just to our north, but that front is not coming until Wednesday night.  Until then, we'll enjoy 2 more warm days before the sweaters and jackets return behind the front.

The current flow across the lower 48 is mainly west to east with a sharp divide north of the front.  Under sunshine, temps. warmed into the 70s making for a wonderful way to start November.

Remember these kind of days come December, January & February.   No complaints from me about the colder air yet as cold air means no hurricanes.   I can bundle up for the next couple of months.  Stay tuned!
