Has It Been 6 Years Already?

Since we have no weather to talk about, I thought I'd begin with a look back in time.   Let's start with my favorite Mardi Gras outfit /costume.  Nancy Parker was dressed as some Diva (Naturally!) while John Snell looked like Larry the Cable Guy.  Me?  I think I was supposed to look like one of the "hippies" from the '60s, but ended up like a stoned drummer in a rock band.  What's your take?

After that are pictures of me as the 2016 Grand Marshal for the Krewe of Argus with two of my sons with their wives.   That was my final act as a public figure for FOX 8.  I officially retired on March 2, 2016.   What a great ride and a special way to celebrate Mardi Gras.  Now days I take in all the fun from the comfort of my home.  What spectacular weather for this Fat Tuesday!

Only the northern tier of states into the Northeast is dealing with lingering Winter chill.  Look how temperatures in Oklahoma have rebounded after last week's sleet & ice storm.

As the center of the surface high drifts over us, nighttime lows will be chilly with daytime highs warming towards 80+.

After no Mardi Gras in 2021, we needed to have a long stretch of dry weather for the parades this year.  Mother Nature has not disappointed us.  The next 3-4 days will continue dry with highs really feeling Spring-like.   A change comes next week but no major Arctic blast is in sight.  Happy Mardi Gras Gang!
Stay tuned!
