Storm Track Remains Far To Our North...

As we transition towards Summer, the upper air jet stream lifts farther to the north taking the severe weather threat with it.  Today Oklahoma is getting clobbered right where SPC placed their level 4 (moderate) severe risk.

Computer guidance does not indicate any change coming until later this week when a weak cold front will try to reach us.  However, that is unlikely since there will be very little upper support.

You can clearly see where the battleground is with 30s & 40s north of the boundary and 70s & 80s south.

Our breezy south winds are being caused by the surface low over the central Plains.  Note how the 60+ dew points cover most of the South.  Still this is not summertime awful as the winds are making it feel kinda comfy.

This week could see our first 90+ if we see enough sunshine.  For the final weekend of Jazz Fest, there will be a rain threat, but the showers will be spotty.  The highest rain chances will be on Friday & Saturday.  Sorry for this late post as I have been fishing with Capt. Hylton.  We really had a difficult time finding trout as the winds made for rough seas.  better days ahead.  Stay tuned!
