Heat getting Old & Still 10 Days Till August...

Seems all the local & network newscasts can talk about is the heat.    If you didn't pay attention, you would think everyone is baking.   While there have been several brief heat waves over the Northeast, the only place where it's really lingered is the central Plains.   Even there, a weak little low is bringing some clouds & much needed spotty rainfall.

Granted, it's not much of a cold front, but Oklahoma will take any relief they can get.  That front will stall well to our north as a cluster of storms linger along the northern Gulf to our east.

It would be nice if those storms could slide further to the west for later this week.   Wishful thinking!

The Tropics remain dead and no model has anything forming for the next 10-14 days.  Only the Eastern Pacific is active.  Since I have nothing to talk about, beside the heat, I'm going fishing with Captain Hylton.  His boat has a T-Top (shade) and we won't be out during the heat of the day.  Not expecting to catch much, but when opportunity calls, I rise to the challenge.  Stay tuned!
