NHC Now Focuses On Northern/Western Gulf

In yesterday's post, I mentioned we should watch the area of disturbed weather along the northern Gulf.  Satellite and radar loops are indicating a weak circulation has developed just offshore from Terrebonne Parish.  NHC has now started to highlight an area for possible development, but only give it a 10% chance to form.  They have NOT scheduled a Recon flight yet.

As usual, there is a wet & dry side to this system.  As it drifts farther to the SW, it should keep the heaviest rains along the coast.  I'll be watching the surface winds and waves, but right now they don't show much.  Next update after 4 PM.  Stay tuned!
