What A Difference A Day Makes...

As I mentioned in my last post, I was going fishing with Capt. Hylton out of Shell Beach yesterday.  Well, due to some motor problems with the engine & power pole, we did not get very far from camp, nor did we fish very long.  To the rescue came Capt. Johnny Lewis with his boat today and the results were a very productive trip.  30 keeper speckled trout, 20 white trout, 1 nice red & several sheepshead.

In addition, it was a sky watchers delight with some great cloud formations.  Were the models right with 60% rain chances?  Technically, I guess yes.  But most of the day was really nice showing that rain chances have nothing to do with time.

As expected, Karl was named over the Bay of Campeche, but he is blocked from coming into the northern Gulf.  In fact, several cold fronts are coming with the second one next week bringing real sweater/jacket weather.

The first front will bring drier air/lower dew points on Thursday & Friday with the stronger cold surge arriving next Monday.

There is a slight chance for a stray shower with the front tomorrow, but the better chances coming next Monday.  Today my house had enough rain to wet the ground (trace).

Note the 20s & 30s dew points back to our NW.  That is really good feeling air even if it won't be much cooler.  The real chill is coming Gang, NEXT WEEK.  Get ready.  Stay tuned!
