Rafael Continues To Weaken, Frontal Boundary brings heavy Rain Potential Tonight/Sunday

Reading some of yesterday's comments gets me wondering if everyone reads my explanations?  "Thought The F.. Lady has sung?"  or "I thought your said the northern Gulf would not get anymore tropical threats".  Did you miss the day I talked about the meteorology in the Gulf in November?  Several posts talked about the much cooler water temps, plus the effect increasing westerly wind shear would not allow a storm up to us.  So look what's happened to now barely Tropical Storm Rafael.

Remember, Rafael was a Cat. 3 Hurricane in the Gulf just 2 days ago.  So what happened?

Rafael exploded to a Cat. 3 when he moved across the Loop Current, but has quickly fallen apart moving into a hostile environment over the western and northern Gulf.  The Lady has sung for a reason.  Our season is done.

So let's move on to our current weather. Until the upper pattern changes, no real cold air is coming this week.

Much drier air is just to our west, and as this weak front staggers to the east, we might see it feel better later this week, especially after Wednesday.

But in the short term tonight and tomorrow. look for more showers.

Finally, the snowstorm has moved out of the Rockies leaving behind the snow cover on satellite pics.

Some ski resorts have opened early.  Now, since we have been way above normal, what if we go way below normal late November into December with it getting cold enough to give us some snow?!!!  That's probably as likely as a Saints win tomorrow!   Falcons 28, Who Dats 17.  Stay tuned!
