Since I retired nearly 9 years ago, The National Weather Service has modified their way of warning people for various weather impacts. One is called a Cold Weather Advisory that is issued when a drastic change/drop in temperatures is coming along with cold wind chill values. NWS issued such an advisory this morning and I've decided to remove to my He-Shed my more tropical potted plants. Note, the South Shore is not expecting freezing temps but the North Shore will. The baby blue colors show where the Cold Advisory is in effect.
The latest clipper is racing to the NE followed by a plunge of the coldest air of this winter season.
Notice even in sunshine to our north, temps are quite cold. Our air is coming down from Arkansas for tomorrow and not from Texas.
For most of today, we'll be mild giving you some time to protect your garden. Tomorrow will be nasty because of the wind chills making it feel like the 20s & 30s. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I'll try to post later about the severe weather threats coming for next week. Stay tuned!
