For 38 years I toiled at a old building on South Jeff. Davis Pkwy ( now Norman Francis Pkwy) that wasn't built as a TV station. During 7 ownership changes, most of the new owners really didn't invested into the facility to make us competitive. Tome Benson was the first owner to commit new monies to upgrade equipment, but it still was an old, dingy building. NFL...Not For Long as last night Ch. 8 held a party to show off the new studios. I was honored to be invited back to see the new home. It's located just west of the Broad Street overpass on I-10.

The move is not yet complete and the official move in is early April. However, the Weather Center looks functional and awesome, the news set gorgeous and the newsroom electric. The current River level has topped 4' and is expected to approach 7 feet by next week. That will cause us no major issues, but it will certainly take care of the salt water wedge that was trying to come farther to the north. Hopefully the Eagles & K.C. fans are appreciating our great Spring-like weather? Our city has never looked to great! Stay tuned!
