After The Rain, A Rainbow, Tropics Quiet, Slow Moving Storms Here

We see them often during the summertime here since it rains so much.  My middle son (Ryan) lives in Albuquerque and captured this neat rainbow.

We certainly had plenty of storms around this afternoon, with the NWS issuing a Flash Flood Warning for parts of the South Shore. Did you see any rainbows?

T-Storms ringed around the Lake with slow movement resulting in brief street flooding.  A weak upper low is drifting to the NW just off our coast.

Trying to forecast day-to-day is pretty useless at this time of the year.  We know we'll be 90+ with spotty mainly afternoon storms.

70+ dew points are from Kansas City to Louisville to Buffalo to Boston.   Ugh! Much of our nation is in the soup, with only the northern tier getting some cooling relief.  Unless the Tropics get active, expect more of the same. No signs of that happening until August.

The T.U.T.T. lows are everywhere along with dry air & Saharan Dust over the eastern Atlantic.

Zack had this interesting graphic this morning.    Yeah, we have 3 named storms, but they combined have the lowest ACE on record.

Just like the sports guys, weathermen are bored at this time of the year.  Stay tuned!
