The only action tropical-wise remains Gabrielle far north of Puerto Rico & NE of the Bahamas. NHC indicates her winds are now 65 mph & she should become a hurricane by tomorrow. Fortunately, the track is well east of Bermuda. with a sharp turn out to sea.
After Gabrielle, there might be another storm out in the Atlantic, but the Gulf and Caribbean remain clear.
There is an upper low in the western Caribbean, but an unusually strong WNW flow makes the Gulf a hostile environment. So the question turns to when do we see some rain or cooler air?
The upper flow over the nation is basically west to east with an upper low approaching the Great Lakes. Bit there is no cold air around as the real cold stays in Alaska.
There might be a weak front coming late this week as Hannah Gard showed this morning.
I'll believe it when I see it. A couple of showers popped up north of the Lake.
It's more 90+ this week despite Fall arriving on Monday.. Probably won't post tomorrow as I don't want to talk about the heat.
Coming up next week on my podcast will be Hurricane Expert Bryan Norcross. Go sign up to hear & see his life's story. Stay tuned!
